About us:

This is a site for the Peace Corps volunteers who served in Chile XXIII, Rural Community Development/Forestry.  We arrived in October 1966 and most left Chile two years later, with several volunteers staying on for up to one additional year.

This website is intended to be by and for this group and others associated with this group.  News about Chile, about the volunteers, trips involving Chile, personal notes and blogs will all be posted to this website over time.

In November of 2016, thirteen of the original members of this group met in Santiago to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of our arrival in Chile and the beginning of the Chilean Reforestation Program in which many of this group participated.  The first posting for this website is about this reunion.

At least each month, a new posting, be it about a former volunteer, about happenings in Chile, a blog on a trip in/to Chile, personal notes, announcements on reunions and the like, will be posted.

We look forward to your participation. Clear and easy-to-follow instructions for contributing photographs and articles are available on this site at Procedures for Chile 23.

Not a member of the group? You are still invited to peruse the site, including the main blogs and photo galleries.  If you are part of this group and would like access to blog and/or post photos, please send us an email.
